Meet the Editors

Hi there! My name is Hope Hottois and I am a senior here at the Hall (yay Class of 2017!). Having been an active member of Highlights since freshman year, I am very excited to be co-editor again this year. My passions include classic American literature, United States history, yoga, Friends, the Kennedy family, 1960s documentaries, English bulldogs, writing, and Dunkin Donuts – all of which have made it into Highlights in one way or another. When I am not doing homework or writing college essays like a madman, you can find me napping in the senior lounge or at Parklane Deli (…. Or Colony Pizza).

Although bittersweet, I am looking forward to making my final year in Highlights the best year yet! Enjoy:)

Hello readers, my name is Kathryn Blanco and I’m one of the co-editors of LH Highlights! Along with co-editor Hope, I plan on spreading the word about Highlights within the school and organizing meetings that foster more communication between contributors and editors. This year, I’ll be writing a column about news and politics for teenagers as well as writing on various other topics as needed. I’m a member of the class of 2017 with some very mixed feelings about graduating from LH this year. My favorite class is English since I love to write (I write a Disney travel column for the Wandering Educators website) and read (though I don’t get to as much as I’d like). Though I’m terrible at picking favorites, I especially love classics and urban fantasy. I hope you enjoy the paper, and remember: new members are always welcome!
